Purchasing Agent Setup

How do we setup the system so we have a purchasing agent in the US that purchases based on the Purchase Orders, and then sends them to the depot that ordered them? I've tried creating a purchasing agent location. I've then tried creating a purchase order at the main depot, with the "order from" set to the purchasing agent's location. When I open the purchasing agent's location, and search under orders I don't see any. What am I doing wrong?

The purchasing agent needs to see what they need to order, and then schedule the orders into a shipment to come to the main depot.

We currently don't handle that feature. In fact, there's not much to the
Purchase Orders functionality at the moment. Orders are placed from the
Depot (not a Purchasing Agent) and those orders are placed of a Supplier
("order from"). Orders are "fulfilled" by the ordering Depot.

We're essentially using this feature to track this conversation:

• I want to order these items from amazon.com
• I ordered these items from amazon.com
• I received these items from amazon.com

There's no agent and no approval process at the moment.

By the way, although the feature doesn't exist I wasn't saying we wouldn't work on this. But it's a low priority so I don't see it happening any time soon. I'll think about whether it's possible and whether our users would be interested in a "purchasing agent" feature.
