Hi, I recently installed Mirth Connect 3.12 on the server of one of our customers (Windows Server 2019 Standard). I have OpenJDK version "18" installed as well. But when I start the Mirth Connect service, this message pops up: "The Mirth Connect Service could not be started. Please verify verify that it is installed and not already started." This verification shows the Mirth Connect Service being mentioned under the Services tab in the Task Manager so yes, it is installed. I just cannot get it to run. Perhaps I also should mention that I haven't yet switched to a different database but for the moment still use Derby. Of course I will switch once Mirth Connect is up and running. I don't think this is relevant but well, you never know. Anyone any ideas on how to get the Mirth Connect Service started or what could cause the issue? Thanks! Edit: |

Before starting MC - look at running processes:

Open the command prompt under elevated role (administrator) and navigate to the folder where Mirth is installed. Try running mcserver.exe and see what happens. Most likely, if it is already running you will get message the ports are occupied. If you don't get a response, then try recycling mirth services |

@jonbartels @siddharthsharma9258 Thanks for replying! "Is MC already running? (it'll show up as a Java process)" - No. But, starting mcservice. exe by means of a command prompt, which you both suggested, got me an error call stack. This does contain new information, and perhaps you - or someone - can make sense of it. I am no Java guy at all. This is what came up: C:\WINDOWS\system32>"C:\Program Files\Mirth Connect\mcserver.exe Any ideas? I'd be most grateful! |

Plus two other lines - but I just disconnected from the environment. If
you think those two relevant I can of course look them up for you.
No sooner than next Monday, however.
