NOTE: Windows Defender is incorrectly detecting this as a virus for some people. I have submitted it to Microsoft for manual review. You can wait until the false positive is resolved, or you can manually allow the file in your Windows Defender control panel.

Welcome to Deceive v1.14.0! This release has some VALORANT-related fixes.

Bug Fixes/Improvements

  • The "Deceive Active!" user now once again appears online on the VALORANT chat list.
    • Deceive was still working fine in v1.13.0 (the "Deceive Active!" user was just offline), but this version ensures that you have more clarity around whether deceive is active.
  • Deceive will now detect when it cannot close existing Riot Client processes because it lacks permissions, and display an appropriate alert when this happens.

This version of Deceive should work properly for standard/unmodified installs of League of Legends, Legends of Runeterra and VALORANT. If you encounter any issues, please let me know on the Discord.

As always, Windows may complain about the executable coming from an untrusted source. You can mitigate this warning by pressing More Info, followed by Run Anyway. If you want to be completely sure that Deceive is safe, you can also download Visual Studio and compile from source yourself.

If your antivirus blocks Deceive, please let us know in the Discord so we can submit a sample. Deceive contains no viruses (obviously), but some virus scanners may incorrectly detect common pieces of code that are also used in malware.
