Linote

Linote is a browser extension that provides a floating note-taking app for quick and convenient access while browsing the web. Jot down your ideas, tasks, or any other information you need to remember, without having to switch between applications.

Installation

Chrome

Manual Installation

  1. Download the ZIP file from from above.
  2. Extract the ZIP file to a folder on your computer.
  3. Open Google Chrome and navigate to chrome:https://extensions/.
  4. Enable Developer mode by toggling the switch in the top right corner.
  5. Click Load unpacked and select the folder you extracted the ZIP file to.
  6. The extension is now installed! You should see the Alternative Social Media Front-end Redirector icon in your browser toolbar.

Usage

To start using the QuickNote extension:

  1. Press Ctrl+L to to open and close Linote
  2. A floating note-taking window will appear on your screen.
  3. Click on the window to start typing your notes.
  4. Drag the note window to reposition it on your screen.
  5. Select any text on a webpage then Press S to save the selection to your note.
