It took me a bit of time to figure this out.

Are you sure it would show the title as stated in the docs?

You are right, currently only the image description is used.

Seems like EXIF does not realy have a title tag (see https://exiftool.org/TagNames/EXIF.html). Perhaps the title you can add to an image in Windows Explorer, Dartable, Lightroom etc. is stored in XMP (https://exiftool.org/TagNames/XMP.html). But hugo only supports EXIF (https://gohugo.io/content-management/image-processing/#exif).

I have create two commits to improve on this aspect:
