The main purpose of this app is to demonstrate

1. Customisation of Spring Boot health endpoints
2. Cucumber testing against those endpoints
3. Spring wired cucumber tests
4. Spring property driven target urls for the test suite to use
5. Binding of cucumber tests to Maven with the failsafe plug-in rather than the surefire plug-in

• Here we expose additional health data relating to our ability to connect with a 3rd party REST API

• The hook into Spring Boot is the ThirdPartyServiceHealthIndicator
• The status includes whether the 3rd party has changed their response structure. This is achieved by providing a specifically configured ObjectMapper in ThirdPartyServiceConfig which will fail if the response does not conform to our response object com.emc.demo.ThirdPartyService.ThirdPartyResponse (Note the line in ThirdPartyServiceConfig which creates the ObjectMapper with Jackson2ObjectMapperBuilder.json().failOnUnknownProperties(true).build();)

• This is fairly standard, starting with the cucumber.xml

• Note that the default is localhost:8080 and that -DtargetRootUrl=X is used to invoke a hosted version of the app
