Hello,

My name is Tio and on top of providing 20+ free services via https://trom.tf/ like Friendica, Peertube, Nextcloud and the like, I also have a project called WebApe https://webape.site/ where I provide full VPS servers that among other services, we provide Mastodon instances too. It is a year old and we already have a few subscribers for the Mastodon package.

Thanks

Do you have any privacy policy or terms of service listed?

I do not. I am an individual providing these services on a small scale. If anyone has any questions or concerns, because I can fully focus on each individual, I can address all of these concerns privately. I think listing a lot of hard-to-understand language would not make you either respect them, or the others to understand them.

If this is something that is required for adding WebApe to your list, ok. But I stand behind my approach of providing a good service in a human-to-human relationship and not applying the same word-salad tactic that most websites do.

I hope you understand and up to you what you'll decide I fully respect that.

I have now added something about that under the FAQ. It reads:

Terms and Conditions? Privacy Policy?

The truth is most websites provide walls of words that no one can fully grasp when it comes to such things. More than that, it is likely they do not respect these loosely worded rules. This is why we are keeping things simple: we only collect your IP address, like all servers do, plus whatever you send to us when you either contact us or subscribe for one of our plans, such as your name, email, etc..

As for what it is allowed to be hosted on the websites/services you are buying from us, since the servers are located in Germany they are subject to the German laws. If we are required to take down any of these websites/services, then we will inform you about that. It is not our decision therefore.

I hope you guys understand why I am doing this, so that people are treated like humans and not like machines. I want for people to understand these things rather than adding a wall of text that no one reads anyway. We have our servers located in Germany (we rent them from another company) so we are subject to the German laws. If we are asked to removed anything we inform people about that and remove the content.

I hope it makes it a bit more clear now.
