I would like a search function to be added to easily find channels and possibly shows.

Will be nice to use epg in this program.
Atm is very nice and organised. with some providers who have over 5k channels all are manage very well. Congratulations

You can add a basic search box for the current TV provider with the patch posted by @hect-dpr in issue #65 (works with the current v1.6 mint package, didn't try with v1.9 git).

Right now is quite usable (search term substring must be all lowercase), even if is ignoring the current tvg-name while filtering usually is not a big deal.

Note: Do not use the raw hypnotix.py from @hect-dpr repo since is made against v1.3 which is buggy and you won't be able to add/modify providers without fixing a couple of lines of code.

Been a while, still no update on the channel search box yet. Thats the only thing hypnotix is probably missing in my opinion. Would be really handy if the lm team does work on a search box for hypnotix.

Search for VOD (TV & Movies) would be wonderful.
