Cirrus Maximus is an extension for your web browser that enables scraping and exporting data from the Cirrus online assessment platform. With this extension enabled, users get options to export data in convenient formats, such as a file containing the data underlying all questions in an assessment or a file containing an assessment matrix that categorizes the questions into taxonomies based on learning objectives.
To download and install Cirrus Maximus for use in your browser, please follow the steps below.

(see image below). Next, unpack the folder somewhere on your computer.

Open your web browser and navigate to
edge:https://extensions
(Microsoft Edge) orchrome:https://extensions

Enable Developer mode and select
Load unpacked

Browse to the local folder that contains the extension's code and click
Select

If there are no errors, the Cirrus Maximus extension will load automatically into your browser.
To use Cirrus Maximus in your browser, please follow the steps below.
- Pin the extension to your browser's toolbar by clicking on the extension icon.

Go to the Cirrus website and navigate into an existing form or collection. Best practice is to go into a form, since such a finalized test usually requires an assessment matrix.

Click on the Cirrus Maximus icon in your toolbar. Via the options you can set the language of the interface to Dutch and change the csv delimiter. The other two options allow you to export the assessment data or export the assessment matrix.
- Upon selecting one of the two options, a
.csv
file will be downloaded to your computer, containing the form or collection data or the assessment matrix. The example output below is generated using theExport assessment matrix
option.
