Python codes written to solve and experiment with simple numerical methods and PDEs.

I will keep updating this from time to time as I develop more content.

2D Linear Convection

  1. The first code added solves the Linear Convection in two dimension. This codes provides a good visualization as to how numerical dissipation affects the solution for low CFL number.

  2. Another code which generates a movie for wave transport for the above phenomena.

2D Non-Linear Coupled Convection

  1. The Non-Linear Coupled equation is solved. The code is enclosed alongwith the documentation and animation.

Diffusion Equation

  1. 1D Diffusion equation
  2. 2D Diffusion equation

Burgers' Equation

  1. 2D Burgers' which combines all the PDEs discussed above in one system. We can visualize how coupled convection and diffusion evolve together in real time.

Runge-Kutta 4th Order Implementation

  1. 1D Linear Convection equation
  2. 2D Linear Convection equation
