KillEmojis

This browser extension helps you remove emojis from popular social media platforms like Twitter, Bluesky and Facebook. The extension is designed to improve readability by removing emojis from the content you browse.

Features

  • Removes emojis from Twitter, Bluesky, Facebook, and Messenger.
  • Preserves the clickable links in tweets when emojis are removed.

Installation

  1. Download the repository as a ZIP file or clone it using Git.
  2. Open your browser's extension settings page.
  • For Google Chrome: Go to chrome:https://extensions/
  • For Mozilla Firefox: Go to about:addons
  1. Enable the "Developer mode" toggle (for Chrome) or click on the gear icon and choose "Debug Add-ons" (for Firefox).
  2. Click on "Load unpacked extension" (for Chrome) or "Load Temporary Add-on" (for Firefox) and select the unzipped folder or the manifest.json file inside the downloaded repository.

Now the extension should be installed, and you should see the Emoji Remover icon in your browser's toolbar. It will automatically start removing emojis from the supported platforms.
