  1. Update __version__ in buku
  2. Update date and version in buku.1
  3. Update User Agent
  4. Make sure help text in README.md is up-to-date
  5. Review commit history since last release and update CHANGELOG
  6. Create a signed tag and push to GitHub
  7. Create a GitHub release and populate the release notes section with what went into CHANGELOG earlier
  8. Notify downstream package maintainers
