docker-drupal7

This is a recipe for building a Docker container with Drupal 7, including Linux (Debian 8), Apache and MySQL.

Based on: https://github.com/janmashat/docker-drupal-brightcove

How to use

Clone repo

$ git clone https://github.com/janmashat/docker-drupal7.git
$ cd docker-drupal7

Build container

Before building, make sure you have Docker Engine installed: https://docs.docker.com/engine/installation/

Note: sources.list includes de.debian.org for the main repo, which can be modified for a closer location.

docker build -t drupal7 .

Run container

EITHER with docroot stored inside the container:
docker run -it --name drupal7 -p 80:80 -p 9001:9001 drupal7
OR with docroot stored on the host:
docker run -it --name drupal7 -p 80:80 -p 9001:9001 -v path_on_host/docroot:/var/www/html drupal7

Visit site

Your Drupal site should now be available at http:https://127.0.0.1 (Linux) or your docker-machine ip (Mac/Win): https://docs.docker.com/machine/get-started/

Optional commands

Once the container is running, you'll be able to create a new screen and run commands:
