In an attempt to be more inclusive in my Slack escapades, I wrote this to fill in the blank when I say "Thank {deity}" or something else of the sort.
This is a simple little app that outputs a single, random deity (in the format of "{NAME}, the {RELIGION} {TITLE} of {RANDOM GOD OVERSIGHT ITEM}") from a number of religions, including:
- Aleph

- Asatru [X]
- Bahai [X]
- Brahma Kumari [X]
- The Branch Dividians [X]
- Buddhist [X]
- Celtic [X]

If the item has an "X" after it, I'm calling it done for now as I don't really have a TON of time to research all of this stuff.
Feel free to contribute. There is a command in the app (new-religion
) that accepts the name (religion-name
or -n
) flag to create a new religion file in the deitylib folder based on the religion_template.gotmpl template file.
