Builds and installs all of the tools for J-Core CPU/SoC chip design and software development.
These are just straight forward shell scripts, a good way to see what is actually needed.

Notes:

- Installs compilers in /opt/toolchains and hardware tools in /opt/toolchains.
- Builds J1/J2 J-Core compilers for bare metal and Linux development.
- Assumes either a clean, nothing added, minimal Debian install. Either debootstrap or bare metal
- Integrates GHDL for VHDL into the Yosys/OpenLane flow with as few changes as necessary
- Builds and installs tools itself, turning off as much OpenLane (volare) build machinery as possible
- That is because we use the tools outside of an OpenLane context as well
- iCE40 FPGA tools are also installed
- 00 installs pre-requisites for all the tools assuming a clean devuan (Debian) install
- 01 - 03 also work on MacOS, with small tweaking (e.g. MacOS uses clang instead of gcc)
- We have native OpenROAD OpenLane on Mac OS X also, but it's about 9mo old.
- There is little error checking.
- You don't need to run all the install scripts if you don't need the tools they install.

Build Compiler, Synthesis, FPGA and ASIC tools on a (clean, if you like) Devuan or Debian install:

1) Install Devuan, Debian or (probably) Ubuntu

2) Become root

3) Clone this repo in a working directory.  You will need several 10s of GB at least

4) Run ./build.sh from this repo.

5) Add /opt/toolchains/bin and /opt/toolflows/bin to your path

This will run 00-syspkg.sh to install pre-requisites, and then runs the rest of the scripts in
order to install the full set of tools and Sky130 PDK.  You can run the individual scripts
manually also, but take care to create ./src and ./build first.  Most are self contained, but
e.g. OpenLane depends on basically everything else...

Build ASIC tools in a new clean chroot (for e.g. packaging, containerization or testing)

1) Run ./debootstrap.sh to create a new devuan chimaera root filesystem
(I.E. known-good reproducible build environment).

2) copy all the server scripts into the new root filesystem.

3) Run ./launch.sh to chroot into it as a simple container
(unshares all but net namespace).

4) Run build.sh to run the other scripts in sequence.
