declarative idempotent golang config management and orchestration

Base all the functionality naming off of "govern"ment terminology. i.e.

• LAWS - description of systems (users to create, pkgs to install, etc)
• FACTS - facts about systems (# of cpus, memory, distro/version, etc) = facts

I know, cute isn't it

i.e. what can I control on my system

• write your yaml parser? none of the options out there merge documents

  • where that makes sense (i.e. not during package install)
• multiple system orchestration (i.e. do a file on one sytem, then start a service on another)
• custom facts for systems
• secrets?
• notifications (slack, discord, irc, etc)

• support more runtimes (containerd, that redhat one that nobody uses, etc)
• watchtower like functionality (watch for updated image tag)

• add xattr to managed files to track what changes have been made (i.e. if a line was added, etc)
• add go templating? works for inline content
