Hello,

I only have the alarm unit, is there a way to integrate it without the hub? I tried but home assistant goes into loop.
Another thing, in the configuration of (VEDO:), in the password field (password: VEDO PASSWORD) what do you mean, the numeric password of the alarm or the password of the app?

hello,
The integration should work without the hub.
However, there is still an open issue because one user has issues with this.
Yes, the password is the numeric one.

Thank you very much gicamm, I managed to set it up!

One request if possible: It would be useful to have as sensor in HA the door and window sensors connected to the alarm so that automation can be created.

Great.
I temporarily disabled it to avoid flooding the vedo alarm.
I need to understand this better and eventually put this feature back because something went wrong during the tests

In the past, I experienced issues with this. I'll add the feature disabled by default. You'll enable it by configuration.
I hope to make the change in a few weeks.

Hi Gicamm, I noticed that when I activate the Home Assistant integration, it restarts 2/3/4 times a day, not immediately but during the day. Disabling the integration does not happen, so there must be something conflicting or somethigelse, I think. Do you need I send you something to see where the problem is? How can I do that? Thank you.

Yes i'm using the vedo integration only, without hub. How can send you the logs? home assistant restart is casual and on restart i can't see the "logs before", there is a way?

I see the component is updating the area after doing a correct login.
You should see the entities in your HA, didn't you?

yes, all the "alarm_control_panel.comelit_vedo_area_*(number 3 to 8)", plus *interno and *perimetro.
This morning I've received a message of home assistant restart but in the log i've not see any information about a restart, maybe is not a real restart...see the log:

Hi everyone,
I've got the same results of @maurilloh
I'm starting to use the integration and from that moment my HA restarts without any reason.

Can I continue on this 3D or I have to open a new one?
(@gicamm do you speak italian? Would you prefer that I send you my log privately?)

Could be a solution that by modify the "DEFAULT_TIMEOUT = 10" the problem never occurs again ?

The timeout prevents hanging

However, if something goes wrong, the component should reinitiate the process. But maybe there is something wrong in this piece of code.

Can you attach your configuration?
What about the 'scan_interval'?

I use the Vedo IP PCB
This is the configuration.yaml:

At the moment is inactive to avoid that HA restarts every tot hours.

I've activate the debug also:

Consider that I'm able to see only "Zone 1" and "Zone 2" but I cannot see the sensors like "Finestra a" , "Nicchia DX" , and soon.

How can I solve the continuos restart of HA?

I have experienced with some problems when I use lower update internals to 1-2s. but never with 30s. I need to find out what is happening.

Are you able with code? Can you do some debugging?

Also, seems that when I activate the Comelit integration, it shuts down my zigbee2mqtt integration.

I always found the Z2MQTT autorestart disabled
