Why is this the best possible solution? Were any other approaches considered?

The tests started failing after merging getodk/javarosa#752 in javarosa so we need to update them.

How does this change affect users? Describe intentional changes to behavior and behavior that could have accidentally been affected by code changes. In other words, what are the regression risks?

It doesn't require testing.

I think the update test names just need updated now the expectation is for them not to detect a problem.
