[Feature Request] Turning off base emissions in GCHP fails #1420
Comments
@lizzlel: We should retest this now that we have updated HEMCO to turn off emissions and emission extensions. |
Agreed. @msulprizio, did you already test this? Is there a PR related to this? |
Ah, found it! geoschem/HEMCO#250 |
@lizziel I verified the fix passes integration tests for both GCClassic and GCHP, but those integration tests do not have emissions turned off. I only validated that the fix worked as expected when turning emissions off for GCClassic. |
I verified the above mentioned PR fixes this issue for GCHP. |
I just ran into this issue so am making a note of it to look at later. I think turning off base emissions is primarily useful for GCST testing so am putting this issue here rather than the main GEOS-Chem repo.
The model crashes when running GCHP benchmark simulation with base emissions turned off within
runConfig.sh
. This is the end of the log:I have not tested in GC-Classic.
