The main issue with the definition is that there are a lot of symbiotic interactions that do not involve a host organism. Below is my proposal for a new definition:
A symbiotic interaction that has as a causal agent some symbiont organism and has as participant some host organism.

The benefit of this is that it can be used to distinguish the class from 'interaction with symbiont' and it reflects what its true parent class is.
There are also several classes that probably belong as a subclass of this, but are currently sibling classes of it:
