Put corresponding userChrome.css file in a folder named 'chrome' under your Thunderbird profile directory. If the 'chrome' folder does not exist, create one. Then restart Thunderbird.
The userChrome.css file in 'macOS' dir is for macOS, with a MBP 15' machine; the one in 'Win 10' dir is for Windows 10, with a Mac Pro machine.
