@chrisawi @smcv howdie, I'm wondering how this work relates to this API specification: https://flatpak.github.io/xdg-desktop-portal/docs/doc-org.freedesktop.background.Monitor.html Should all compositors come with an implementation of Background Monitor BackgroundApps (in the ideal case) so we can use that instead? |

There still doesn't appear to be any way to find the backend for a portal, as mentioned in the original commit: 5ec73b9
