Yo! Field Mapper here...

I'm field_mapper on the Team Awareness Kit Community (TAK) Discord and Reddit. A Geographic Information System (GIS) / GEOspatial INTelligence (GEOINT) guy - working with imagery acquired from manned (planes), unmanned (UAV's/drones) and space-based (satellites) systems .

For the past five or so years... I've been working in providing imagery solutions for TAK - mostly tile servers, and such. Onboarding and training end-users to use these systems together with TAK. Working with TAK for this long, I've also dabbled on TAKServer and other back-end stuff that works in conjunction with TAK.

I am also a contributor to the Android Team Awareness Kit Wikipedia page keeping the information current. (Well, trying to...) And the openTAKpickList - which is basically a merge of the existing ATAK Reddit JumpStart Wiki and CivTAK.org Wiki on the existing openTAKpickList.

Nothing much to see on my GitHub repos, it's just a collection of forks of project I follow. And a side project on VM'ing FreeTAKServer... though I stopped that because Docker. :D

  • 🔭 I’m currently working on off-grid mesh communicators such as Meshtastic and goTenna...
  • 🌱 I’m currently learning more Python...
  • 💬 Ask me anything about TAK on Reddit and on Discord. (No to haz pluginz and G-EGD imagery requests.)
  • 📫 How to reach me: Ping me on Discord or Reddit.
  • ⚡ Fun fact: I used to run the ATAK Community Server (aka. pubserver) which had 1,550 unique configuration file downloads and has served 590 unique devices. This ran for a year. And was used by developers to learn how Cursor-on-Target works on a server by packet sniffing and other ingenious means. Jump starting the development of the numerous open-source TAK server flavors we see today.

Buy me a coffee?
