Plans for a future stable release

Hi there,

Sorry if it's not the proper communication channel for that, but I wanted to ask what your plans are with regard to making a new stable release.

I'm a packager for the Linux distro Mageia and we still ship version 2.8.1 - given the amount of work that has been put in the development branch since then, I'd be interested to know if you would still advise to stay with the last stable release, or if the current master branch would be worth packaging instead.

Channel is absolutely fine.
I do not consider the current master as production ready.

• Bugfixes not incoming, OSX and Linux code not upgraded; some developers are simply not working on Egoboo atm
• No CD (GitHub-Releases are just awful) and subsequent lack of testing

In general, I would be willing to make a release if the above issues would be solved and if testing would be performed and does not reveal more bugs. Though I am not too happy with the current state in terms of quality of the game, but given with what we've started it's still pretty good.
