We are removing our Dogecoin DNS Peer Seeder nodes from DOGE. We provided DNS peer seeders for Dogecoin in hopes that we would at least be given some basic credit that the Denarius community was providing these nodes and helping everyone sync. That is not the case.

Dogecoin is a joke and should be treated as such. Join a real project like Denarius (D).

veryseed.denarius.pro
muchseed.denarius.pro
suchseed.denarius.pro

Are now removed. @buzzkillb will be providing statistics in this PR of how many requests we handled with absolutely zero credit. It is really a shame, something so simple, could not be given...

Removed Denarius (D) seeders for Dogecoin, no credit was given to us for helping provide the seeders in public community announcements nor within Git. Much Greed Such Lame.

Join a real non-meme cryptocurrency project at https://github.com/carsenk/denarius

It's too bad that something some see as a pillar of cryptocurrency can't get their stuff together. Unmaintained, overall community just does not care about decentralizing with connectable nodes, and let the Elon memes roll to enrich your bags, doing everything opposite of what cryptos were set out to do when we were blessed by Satoshi and the original cypherpunk group. Like I said I wouldn't share any actual data, that's now deleted along with all of my fully wide open daemons and onion nodes. But there were lots of requests. Maybe someone else will do it.

By this statement alone you do not belong in crypto, and clearly shows your lack of understanding of "decentralization". Secondly, version 1.14.3 of the code hasn't even been released and put into public use. So what are you even barking about here? This is not a cry for attention. By the fact that the seeders were added into the code alone is enough for recognition, as the daemons/nodes would run more efficiently and users would be happy their wallets are syncing. Most crypto users don't even know 99% of how these coins even work, let alone praising someone for it lol. You clearly have some kind of tunnel vision. Think about the bigger picture here not about yourself. Much amazement.

To add to this, that type of action by you shows you're unreliable as a seeder ;)

So I hope the devs remove you.

Clearly shows your lack of understanding of how seed nodes work, we were providing them to help out and hopefully get a thank you, not even a thank you was given, so we are removing them. Pretty plain and simple. Someone helps you, you help them back or at least say thank you.

People were still using our nodes to help sync, We just will not support Dogecoin any further. Dogecoin seeders that are currently in the code, aren't even working in the master branch and people were certainly using 1.14.3 or their own versions with our seeders lol....I mean ~3 million requests on each seeder...lol Thinking you are the one with tunnel vision here.

I am thinking of the bigger picture here also and that this takes away from real projects like Bitcoin or Denarius, not some shit memecoin, these copy pasta forks like Dogecoin just hurt the industry and take away money from real projects. So we just in general do not want to support this trash.

I hope the devs promptly merge this PR as well, your meme coin will fail. Dogecoin is a joke and just makes the entire crypto community look bad.

It's easy enough to use a seeder by adding seed=veryseed.denarius.pro to the dogecoin.conf. Which is more likely what you saw occur on majority of nodes using 1.14.2. But what's funny is you say "people were certainly using 1.14.3`. Well if your seeder was setup correctly, You should've actually been able to see exactly what version clients were connecting to you 😉.

Regardless, the world is a lot bigger than your politics. Anyone can setup seeders it's not an exclusive dev access feature only. (i.e. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5239304.0) (Could learn something from this guy, he doesn't ask for anything in return) So good luck, and thanks for the temporary service. wish you the best. My client is syncing quite well as-is, and so are the exchanges I trade this fun coin. So I'm not worried.

Good, they can setup there own then and make a PR! 🤣 People were certainly using 1.14.3, my statement still stands, you should think a little before you speak.

You and Dogecoin are a waste of time and space. Buzz already posted the screenshots of the seeder data. We simply made a PR to remove the seeders because not even a thanks was given, I don't think anyone asked for your opinion lol, really goes to show how friendly this Dogecoin community is...

I hope you also realize the Exor Team's fork was used for our seeders as well, we have had no problem giving them thanks and credit where it is due...They actually have been active on our community forums https://blockforums.org You should really do some research and yet again, think before you speak.

It would have been good to discuss expectations ahead of time, the precedent for other seeds is they're uncredited, so this was something of a surprise to us.

For the record the credits are being written in https://github.com/dogecoin/dogecoin/pull/1733/files#diff-e04cb1e9f29f76897c6b84334238f621ff45ba13cf180ad1d0d442d50ebe51f7R261
