What is the OpenDV software project?

This software is a compilation of three major projects the ircDDB Gateway and the PC-Repeater Controller software's.

  • ircDDB Gateway G4KLX ircDDB Gateway package. This program when used with either an Icom ID-RP2C based repeater stack or one or more homebrew repeaters (pc repeater controller)

  • PC-based repeater controllers (pc repeater controller) that are able to provide analogue, D-Star or combined repeater controlling

    1. AnalogueRepeater

    2. DStarRepeater (including the GMSK modem, DV-RPTR modem, and DVAP),

    3. DummyRepeater

  • MMDVM project, Multi-Mode Digital Voice Modem is a combined hardware and software development of a modem to handle all amateur digital voice modes and repeater controlling.

The software package comes as a pre-compiled binary (via Yahoo! group or deb/rpm repositories) or via the source code on this project page. The code will run on on intel CPU as well as ARM found in raspberry systems. Additionally the project code can be compiled for Microsoft Windows or Linux systems.

This software is for use on amateur radio networks only. Its use on commercial networks is strictly prohibited

The software is the work of a few but mostly we have to thank the following...
