I'm running Frigate in a Proxmox VM on an Intel NUC. I recently installed a Coral TPU . Several times a day I get:

I thought it might be a bad USB cable so I replaced it. It ran for almost two days without restarting but now it's happening again.

I have been trying to solve this for a while. First on Frigate 12.0 and now on Frigate 13.0beta6, otherwise the system is running great.

I am having the same issue I was running my frigate on a Dell i7500t 8G Ram and 2TB SSD, coral is plugged into a USB 3.1 Gen 1 USB. My coral kept reporting "detection appears to be stuck restarting the process" the restart takes about 33 seconds. This happens at pretty regular intervals about every 12 hours it goes through a cycle 3 or 4 times in regular intervals over about 5 hours and it's good again, then in about 12 hours the cycle starts again. I thought it might be that the Dell mini was not suppling enough power to the coral.

So set up a new machine to test, AMD 5600G 8G Ram 600w power supply and the same thing is happening. All good for about 12 hours then it starts the "detection appears to be stuck restarting the process" cycle. The coral seems to be working fine other than this, Inference Speed between 7 and 9 ms, CPU 0.8% memory 0.9%. GPU between 1 and 5% and memory at 96% consistent, overall system 14% CPU and 20% memory. The new machine should be plenty to keep the coral happy for power, coral is plugged into a USB 3.1 Gen 2 USB.

Is this like a sleep thing does the coral go to sleep? Not a cable issue bought the best USB 3 cable I could find, have tried 4 different good quality USB 3 cables all designed to supply power as well as data.

I noticed that I got issues with the coral on "max". Reducing it to standard or using a powered hub and a little airflow fixed everything but I cannot tell which one actually fixed it. I don't need max power for the coral so i rather use it on std.
