[Support]: Can't get frigate running on Mac M2 with docker #12006

Describe the problem you are having

I have installed frigate from Docker.

Host OS is a Mac M2.

I can't seem to get to the WebUI. Is it on Port 5000? Nothing happens, where are the logs?

http:https://localhost:5000/ goes nowhere.

How I installed it and my config

$ gh repo clone blakeblackshear/frigate
$ cd frigate && docker compose up

My docker compose is out of the box.

When I do docker compose, after about 5 minutes the server successfully starts, although I only get a "[INFO] The fake Frigate service is running...":

I can confirm that my camera works on the HassOS addon on a Raspberry Pi, with the attached config.

the getting started guide walks you through exactly setting things up in docker https://docs.frigate.video/guides/getting_started#installing-frigate

the installation docs also show the volumes, ports, etc that are used and for what https://docs.frigate.video/frigate/installation#docker

This is not how you install Frigate. You are simply spinning up a development environment.

I'm not sure I understand. The docs say:
"Running in Docker with compose is the recommended install method."

I'm just trying to get to the WebUI... but the documentation doesn't really advise how to do that nor what port it runs on. I've got the Raspberry Pi version installed, but it doesn't have the WebUI to do masks, etc. Perhaps I'm missing something in the documentation.

Thanks @NickM-27 that was just enough to get me started... I got my camera feed running on my Mac/Frigate... just enough confidence now to invest in a Coral and RPi
