+Oh… although… having said that… I am also the author of [CDJScrobbler](https//github.com/ben-xo/cdjscrobbler) which fundamentally works in a very similar way, but is written in Java. So, that's probably how I'd do it, as Java, I've heard, has optional clicky buttons.
