welcome to the official GitHub repository of Eduhub Community Website

Eduhub is a community of the people, for the people and by the people. Our vision is to create an environment where people can learn and apply technical knowledge together. Our mission is to build a strong technical community which is open-minded and has an intense desire for consistent learning from one another in the community. We have been conducting and organizing numerous Open Source Programs, Hackathons, Meetups, Conferences and 1:1 Mentorships.

How to contribute

Contributing

  1. Fork it
  2. Create your feature branch (git checkout -b my-new-feature)
  3. Commit your changes (git commit -m 'Add some feature')
  4. In case of multiple commits squash them. You can find guide here
  5. Run the tests with Go Live and make sure all tests are passed.
  6. Push your branch (git push origin my-new-feature)
  7. Create a new Pull Request, following the template

How to clone repository and make changes locally

  click on the clone button (green in colour). This gives you a copy of the project. Its now yours to play around with
  • Using git on your local machine. Do this to download the forked copy of this repository to your computer
  git clone https://github.com/USERNAME/Eduhub-Community.github.io/
  • switch to the cloned folder. This can be done with Gitbash or the integrated terminal in the VSCode editor
  cd Eduhub-Community.github.io
  • Make a new branch. Your name would make a good branch because it's unique!
  git checkout -b <name of new branch>
  • Stage your changes
  git add .
  • Commit the changes
  git commit -m "Add <your-github-username>"
  • Check the status of your repository
  git status
  • Pushing your repository to github
  git push origin <name of your branch>

or

  git branch -M main
  git push -u origin main
  git push origin main --force
  • Navigate to your fork, on the top of the files section you'll notice a new section containing, a contribute button!

  • Click on the contribute button, it will open a drop down, click the pull request button on the drop down Note: A pull request allows your changes to be merged with the original project.

  • Wait for your changes to be merged
