My full name is "Arjun Shenoy Arakkaparambil Vasudeva" but people usually call me "Arjun" for short 😄 (Or Shenoy if there's another Arjun around). I'm a software engineer from Cochin, India 🇮🇳 currently living in London 🇬🇧.
- I'm a Machine Learning enthusiast with a background in computer systems and data science. What I like to do the most is to develop solutions to problems faced by me or those around me.- My current craze is Deep learning and other aspects of bio-inspired computing .
My journey in the world of software and algorithms began in high school. I had taken "computer-science" stream for my higher studies (you'll get it if you're from a CBSE school in India 🙂) purely because I didn't want to take Biology. The computer science syllabus consisted of an introduction to C++. The labs used the old Turbo C++ IDE. At first, I was just focusing on finsihing up whatever assignments our teachers gave us, then it changed to exploring more challenging problems, Implementing more complicated algorithms, trying out different data structures and pretty soon I was hooked. I remember spnding hours on that turbo C++ IDE exploring different libraries, trying to use unique data structures, solving the same problems in many different ways etc.
My very first proper project was building a classic car racing game (in the old tetris style) using graphics.h.
