Standard linter

[glynnbird]

I went to merge @janl's pull request on using "standard", but preceding merges and made the merge of that PR very difficult. This is my attempt to achieve the same effect from a fresh branch from master.

Overview

• Implements standard js linting
• remove legacy linters
• ensure the test suite runs smoothly

Testing recommendations

No real functionality changed, just lots of semi-colons have gone :)
