Welcome to my GitHub Page!

About Me

Who are you? Where are you from?

  • My name is Angel Vazquez!
  • I am from Florida, Puerto Rico but I will be moving to Silver Spring, Maryland in early August!

What do you do for a living?

  • I am currently a Cybersecurity Software Engineer at Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory as part of the Cyber Concepts and Exploration group.
    • The group focuses on areas such as formal methods, malware analysis, quantum computing, cryptography, and trusted computing.
    • The work involves cybersecurity-related software engineering, using languages like Java, C, Python, etc.

Where did/are you going to school?

  • I obtained a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science & Engineering from the University of Puerto Rico - Mayagüez Campus.

Did you do any internships before graduating?

  • I did! I was an Information Systems Undergrad Coop at Amgen in 2021, a Software Engineering Intern in Summer 2022 with Lockheed Martin, an IT Security Operations Coop in Fall 2022, and a Cybersecurity Software Engineering Intern in Summer 2023 with Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Lab!
