UK keyboard layout special characters unsupported/incorrect #376

  • YubiKey Manager (ykman) version: 3.1.1
  • How was it installed?: exe Installer
  • Operating system and version: Windows 10 19042
  • YubiKey model and version: YubiKey 5 NFC 5.2.7
  • Bug description summary:

Unable to use UK keyboard layout:

  1. Unable to use pound symbol (£) in static password; and
  2. Some special characters get changed. eg. hash (#) gets printed as pound (£).

Steps to reproduce

Case 1.

ykman otp static 1 -k us
Enter a static password: £

Case 2.

ykman otp static 1 -k us
Enter a static password: #

Expected result

Case 1. After tapping the button print out: £
Case 2. After tapping the button print out: #

Actual results and logs

Case 1. Error: Unsupported character: £

Case 2. After tapping the button it prints out: £

Other info

Need to add support for UK keyboard layout.
