which is True by default, not the other way around
it doesn't receive any argument.
before going forth with the initialization.
So the splash doesn't show greyed out.

This fixes all issues introduced by @lfdversluis on the upgrade procedure (that I could find).
It also fixes a bug introduced by me (greyed out startup splash due to using SafeYield)
