It's always great to not read the contributing.md |
I don't like reading contributing.md with so many clauses! In the contents, instead of "Videos", you should have a section named "Courses". Your welcome! Stephen Grider and Maximilian Schwarzmüller are the best instructors in the world. I have watched all the instructor's you are endorsing. Even though, I really appreciate their work for the community but they are not world class professional instructors with solid reputation YET! (I see a great potential in Fluttery and Tensor Programming but BEING the best in the world is very different.) Stephen Grider has an average of 4.6 rating from 99,069 reviews. I buy their course for around $10. It is technically free for what you get! Comparing Stephen and Max with others, its like comparing Porsche with Peugeot ;) Therefore, they must be on the list! |
This is the last video from Fluttery looks like a Rimac car too me Compare this with your paid resources for ultra beginner. Looks like a bike :D I curate resources following the official Awesome List guidance which I guess you ignore the existence too. You want to be good at Flutter ? choose wisely your content ... |
Also all the authors are officials Google Developper Experts ... |
How do you know about the quality of the courses that you haven't taken them? We want Flutter to have the most stars on Github, therefore we should consider everyone. Its not about what you teach, its about how you teach! |
If those courses are good enough then you don’t need to have this
conversation with anyone mate. Today or tomorrow probably they will be in
the list or even if they don’t make it here then also there will be talks
about it. Cool down and believe in people. We all here are trying to give
the best to the community and help each other. Good day 😃

Once you get a solid foundation of Dart and Flutter, you can build all
sort of things without somebody spoon feeding you!
Its not about what you teach, its about how you teach!

I believe in people and appreciate their work that is why I said "YET". |
I'll clarify my point of view. You can look at my Linkedin to see my pro trackline and why I think like this. So my startup need to recruit a Flutter developper, I need the best one and I receive many CVs. How do I find the best one ? The first tells me he had paid and followed online courses and I ask him to show me what he's done : very very basic stuff. The second show me a git repo with original features he's done by himself and/or copying what they've found on Awesome Flutter List. Guess which one I'll hire ? if you can read throughout all the content that @iampawan has shared in his online Youtube you're a very competent hire. Udemy is great as a starter and they have a HUGE marketing budget to put their content on front but it will not make you employable. Awesome List is community driven and free and I've already removed awesome resources that are not open because it's a place to collaborate and learn freely not promote private initiatives. Thoses guys will perform well under the private Udemy umbrella. In your case maybe you've started your journey with Udemy but to level up you'll find the best Flutter resources by big brothers in Awesome List. |
My point of view is to make everyone to adapt Dart while your goal is to hire the best developer for your startup! (based on how you began clarifying your view). If the goal is to make all the developers to adopt Dart, we have to introduce the best instructors, to attract more developers. Your bias against the best sources of learning for first-time adopters can hurt Dart/Flutter. Every highly rated source of learning, regardless of platform should be on that list. Udemy is the fastest way to learn a language. Once you learned the fundamentals right, you can build anything that you can imagine of. I learned React-native from Stephen and Max, and built a completely different application than what they teach in their courses. You don’t believe me, give me a challenge in React-native or Flutter, I will build it for you for free! (Just to make you hold your grudge against Udemy or any paid platforms) |
@clarktank This is an awesome-list. Calm down. All you had to do was to read the contributors guide. 👍 |
I do like Udemy and Coursera in fact ! I've followed a lot of their courses :) Please be my guest, here's an easy take on dribble. Components and main layout are already available on Flutter you just need to bind them together and animate the dot. Don't do it to prove me wrong but gain your own spot in Flutter Awesome List https://dribbble.com/shots/3861108-iPhone-X-Calendar-App-Concept |
The challenge is accepted. No, I don't want to prove you wrong. Our opinions are based our own unique experiences. I am accepting the challenge for the love of Flutter, and my favorite instructors on Udemy (Stephen and Max)! Note Stephen's and Max's courses were released yesterday, I will finish the courses by next week and probably another 2 days to implement the challenge! |
I have added Two of the Udemy's best instructors courses Stephen Grider and Maximilian Schwarzmüller
