Pre-release

v1.14.4

  • Saving and Loading FORM now works!
    • FORM eats up 10k bytes of storage, still room to save other things, might be iffy with old sequencer enabled. Having multiple banks of patterns unlikely until new hardware.
  • MidiFX get stopped when stopping the FORM
  • AUX + Arp On shortcut will now turn all arps off or back on. If in QuickEdit or Arp ParamView this shortcut only applies to currently selected arp.
  • Mute/unmute tracks/machines by double clicking them(top row keys 3 - 10)
  • Track/machine LEDs now light up indigo whenever notes were played on a step
  • Fixed some bugs causing crashes.

v1.14.3

  • Makes double clicking a step enter the note editor

v1.14.2

  • Fixes bug with stepHeld sometimes initially being on causing the menu to be stuck editing one param
  • Adds MidiFX to form. Use AUX shortcuts to set the track MidiFX, steps can also be set to a specific MidiFX through the menu.
  • Fixes step muting not working
  • Fixes arp chance page not being editable

Early preview of a new sequencer mode called FORM. This is WIP, missing features, will probably have bugs and is not saved

S1/S2 modes are disabled in this build to save on space.

FORM is a host for sequencers called machines. There is currently one machine available called OMNI.

OMNI is a polyphonic step sequencer.

Features:

  • Sequence up to 64 bars
  • Various play modes like forward, reverse, pong, random, and shuffle.
  • Conditional step trigs.
  • Variable rates
  • Triplets
  • 16th note and 8th note shuffle
  • Each step can perform a function to either restart the sequence, change the direction of the playhead or jump to a specific step.
  • Steps can be nudged forwards or backwards in time.
  • There is an additional transpose pattern which can be applied in two ways: global to the track, and or accumulative to each step.
  • The tranpose values can be set to global interval(Interval of current scale and root), semitones, or local interval(interval of current scale but the root is determined by the notes in the scale)
