Build ccid driver on yosemite got error #8
Comments
what version of the CCID driver? Have you generated the configure script yourself? |
The latst version. I download using "git clone https://github.com/LudovicRousseau/CCID" My system is yosemite |
I guess ./bootstrap reported an error. |
right, i saw some errors, let me check and try to solve these errors, thanks, Luc |
I guess this problem is solved on your side now. Closing. |
If the creation of a channel fails then call FreeChannel() instead of IFDHCloseChannel(). The ressources are unalocated but with no access at the lower layer. Since the creation failed the channel is not correctly created and only part of the reader stucture is initialised. The problem was discovered with the folowing problem: Program received signal SIGSEGV, Segmentation fault. [Switching to Thread 0x7ffff6fe2700 (LWP 6120)] 0x00007ffff5dca8f2 in CmdPowerOff (reader_index=0) at commands.c:1076 1076 cmd[6] = (*ccid_descriptor->pbSeq)++; (gdb) print ccid_descriptor $1 = (_ccid_descriptor *) 0x7ffff5fe0468 <usbDevice+40> (gdb) print ccid_descriptor->pbSeq $2 = (unsigned char *) 0x0 The pbSeq pointer is NULL and can't be dereferenced. With composite USB devices the pcscd daemon does not know which USB interface correspond to the CCID reader. So all the interfaces are tried and this generated critical errors in the logs. Like: 00000005 readerfactory.c:1110:RFInitializeReader() Open Port 0x200000 Failed (usb:096e/080a:libudev:0:/dev/bus/usb/003/013) 00000002 readerfactory.c:375:RFAddReader() FT ePass2003Auto init failed. When the driver reports IFD_NO_SUCH_DEVICE then the logs now have a PCSC_LOG_INFO level so are no more displayed in red and no more present by default. Fixes Salsa issue #8 https://salsa.debian.org/rousseau/PCSC/-/issues/8 "Do not report an error if the wrong interface is used by the driver"
