Если у Select стоит json-поле, не работает установка значения по умолчанию.

Пример:

AdminFormElement::select('setting_parsing->currency', 'Исходная валюта')
                    ->setOptions([
                        'RUB' => 'RUB',
                        'USD' =>'USD',
                    ])
                    ->setDefaultValue('RUB')
