This project comprises the unification of various existing databases. In doing so, the following factors have been considered: Annotation: As information from various databases is collected, the description involved would be attempted to be made as detailed as possible, and as clearly presented as possible
- Minimal Redundancy: As various databases have been attempted to put together at one place, the redundancy has been attempted to be kept to a bare minimum
- High Level of Integration: The databases and resources integrated together in this project include:
- Melanoma-related genes collected by searching for keywords on NCBI-PubMed
- References to Melanoma Gene Database (MGDB), Melanoma DB and Melanoma Molecular Map Project (MMMP) have been made
- Geographic Analysis: Various research papers considering the cases and effects of Melanoma in various parts of the worlds, and according to skin colour and gender among other factors, are displayed in detail.
