There is a line in the readme talking about dealing with a LibGit2 build failure.
The solution is to upgrade CMake to 3.1.2.
master will no longer build with CMake < 3.4.
Ergo, no-one will run into that problem again.
Also the link in that trouble shooting is broken.
It remains a problem I guess, if people checkout one of the older release branches/tags.
But in that case they will checkout their own readme.
