🌟 The next major version is currently under active development

The next major update, Floorp 12, is currently under active development. As mentioned earlier, this will be a completely new version of the Floorp browser, with a significantly different codebase.

The image above shows the settings page that is set to be revamped in Floorp 12. In Floorp 12, the settings for Firefox and Floorp will be separated for better clarity. (Noraneko is the codename for Floorp 12 and is the name of the test head repository.)

Features such as workspaces, private containers, design switching, and tab customization have all been implemented, and we are progressing with development to release the beta version.

• Regarding Legacy Components (AKA: userChrome.js)

It has been decided that legacy components will not be revived in the future. However, some features that were available through enabling legacy components will be incorporated into Floorp.

• After deleting split tabs in split view, Floorp no longer renders web pages correctly.
• The content of the about(which appears when clicking “Help” → “About Floorp” in the menu panel) is not appropriate for Floorp.
• The hidden setting “media.block-autoplay-until-in-foreground” is not working.
• The toggle for showing or hiding the integrated extension button in “Customize Floorp” is not functioning.
