This is an educational project to create the initial data structure for a vet clinic using a relational database. I started with one table and created a complete database about:
- Relation Database: PostgreSQL
- VS Code
This repository includes files with plain SQL that can be used to recreate a database:
- Use schema.sql to create all tables.
- Use data.sql to populate tables with sample data.
- Check queries.sql for examples of queries that can be run on a newly created database. Important note: this file might include queries that make changes in the database (e.g., remove records). Use them responsibly!
To get a local copy up and running follow these simple steps.
- A web browser like Google Chrome.
- A code editor like Visual Studio Code with Git and Node.js.
You can check if Git is installed by running the following command in the terminal.
$ git --version
Likewise for Node.js and npm for package installation.
$ node --version && npm --version
