Curse Updates is a discord bot with the purpose of announcing new releases of projects on CurseForge.

Whether you want to announce in your discord server that your projects have been updated, or you want to be notified of certain project's releases yourself this bot will be of use!

There are two ways to invite the bot to your discord server, both have pros and cons.

If you're a project developer and you want to announce updates for your projects in your discord server automatically, you can invite the bot directly using the URL in the README. This is the fastest way to invite the bot in your server and doesn't require any manual work to setup.

This version of the bot is maintained online by Davoleo on their personal VPS, if you want to support maintenance costs feel free to donate on any of these platforms, any amount is greatly appreciated, but don't feel forced to donate if you're not in the financial position to do so!

Inviting the original version of the bot is probably enough for most users, although if you find yourself needing to keep track of updates for more than 30 projects in your discord server then you might want to look into Self-Hosting where you can disable / increase the per-server project limit; This limit was installed to avoid abuse of the bot and overload of the VPS / database with servers that mass schedule update announcements for as many projects possible; The limit might be increased in the future.
