This project provides code that controls Kasa (TP-Link) bulbs, plugs, and switches via Hubitat Environment. This Local integration runs locally (without connection to the Kasa Cloud).

Prior to starting determine if you want a manual installation or the integrated installation:

• Kasa Application Installation: You must first install the Kasa Device using the Kasa App (from TP-Link). This enters the device into your network.

• Manual Installation: You will manually enter the IP and Plug Number(number of plugs). Best for installations with only a few devices. Follow the instructions in:

  • Install Application and Driver Files
  • Manual Installation

• Integrated Installation: You will run the application to install. Best for installations with numerous devices or where users do not want to enter an IP address. Follow the instructions in:

  • Install Application and Driver Files
  • Install the Kasa Local Application
