I am Bruno Ortega Goes, currently working as a research and development engineer (algorithms) at Applied Materials.
I have been trained as a theoretical physicist with a focus on quantum mechanics and applications to technologies. I have a deep knowledge of the open quantum systems framework, its applications to quantum technologies, and quantum thermodynamics having performed computational simulations of such systems during my graduate training years. In addition to this formal training, I also have an interest in the applications of the mathematical and data analysis tools of physics to other domains, this led me to study machine learning with a focus on data science and recently I have been interested in computer vision models and applications.
