Missing adjustments to rules in Boarding Actions mode

I'm uncertain if this should be a bug or a feature request - please feel free to recategorise it if it's in the wrong place.

The mode for designing rosters for Boarding Actions games in 10th Edition currently fails to account for the adjustments to the rules surrounding certain keywords, Warlords and Enhancements in the official rules. A full explanation of the system can be found on the rules document on Warhammer Community (located here: https://www.warhammer-community.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/Qs7siCNJ4Sm5AsPU.pdf ), but to summarise the main differences:

• All units with the ability Scouts lose it in Boarding Actions games.

• All units with the ability Fly lose it in Boarding Actions games. In addition, if a unit has the ability Fly, its Move characteristic is reduced to 9" (unless it is already 9" or below) and may not be increased above 9" for the duration of the battle.

• All weapons with the ability Indirect Fire lose it in Boarding Actions games.

• In Boarding Actions, it is possible to create an army that includes no Characters. If you do this, you must select a single non-character model from your army to act as your Warlord. (If you do have any Characters or Iconic Heroes in your army, one of them must act as your Warlord unless rules on their datasheets explicitly forbid them from being your Warlord.)

• You cannot take any of the standard Detachment Enhancements in a Boarding Actions game.

• If your Warlord is a Character and not an Epic Hero, they may take a single free enhancement from the following list:

  • Superior Boarding Tactics: Before the battle, in the Generate Starting Command Points step, you start with 2 additional Command points.
  • Close-Quarters Killer: Each time the bearer makes a melee attack, you can re-roll the Wound roll.
  • Peerless Leader: Once per battle round, the bearer can be targeted with the Battlefield Command Stratagem (pg 11) for 0CP, even if you have already targeted a different unit with that Stratagem this phase.
  • Expert Breacher: The bearer's unit can attempt to operate a Hatchway at either the start or the end of the Move Units step of your Movement phase (but it cannot do both.)
  • Personal Teleporter: The bearer has the Deep Strike ability.
  • Trademark Weapon: When you select this Enhancement, select one ranged weapon that the bearer is equipped with and make a note of this on your army roster. Add 1 to the Strength and Damage characteristics of that weapon.

• You cannot take an enhancement on a Warlord that is an Epic Hero or not a Character, nor on any Character that is not your Warlord.

Boarding Actions is not fully supported, it has only been implemented in a few catalogues at present.

Ah, I see. In that case it'd be fantastic if somebody could look at updating Tyranids to be Boarding Actions compatible.

(As far as I can see, in most cases half the work is already done, as using Boarding Actions mode does correctly make the adjustments to army selection and unit rules in the Mustering Rules document.)

With the announcement that GW are producing a new version of Boarding Actions, we'll review that once it's available and make the necessary changes to support it as needed. We will not be doing any further work on the current version.
