I have updated the profiles ui with help icons beside each section of the collection admin and profile edit pages, and the reports, documents and data tabs. I have written the first cut of the content and made it available via the github pages for profile-hub (https://atlasoflivingaustralia.github.io/profile-hub/), so profiles-dev now has integrated online help. The location of the help content is configurable via a config file in ala-install. We need to decide whether to leave the content where it is or move it somewhere else (perhaps wordpress), and we should update the style so it looks like the profiles application (I just used one of the default gh-pages templates, as all I wanted to do at this stage was to get the content and system integration done). |
For Russell to provide content... Need to find appropriate home for eFlora specific content. Might also need to look at separate help for editors and users... |
From an ALA developer perspective we will only be ensuring that help icons point to relevant help content provided by ABRS. Prefer content is hosted on ABRS controlled pages. |
Once ABRS generates content, we need to confirm that all links work as required (and therefore if we need developer time)... changing estimate to 0 until this is done. |
Initial task is to match ABRS help content to currently implemented help links... further discussion on 'enhancements' to help need to be negotiated once this is done... expectation is that only minor bug fixes will be addressed. |
Add a directive that can be used to add a help icon to any panel, with a link to wordpress? content.
Write the wordpress content.
