sunst0rm-guide

This is a hopefully easy to understand guide for mineek's sunst0rm, it is recommended to be read in order but you can skip to any part you are interested in.

Archive notice

This guide is no longer actively maintained and hasn't been for a while, so it's getting archived.

The instructions should still work fine, but it's not guaranteed that everything will still work. Follow the guide at your own risk.

  • Which iOS versions can you downgrade to: Look here for which iOS versions you can downgrade with sunst0rm and jailbreak.
  • Installation:
    • Dependencies: This will guide you through installing dependencies coming from a vanilla macOS install.
    • sunst0rm: This will help you set up sunst0rm in your Mac and confirm all dependencies are correctly installed
  • Usage: This explains how to use sunst0rm to restore and boot an unsigned iOS version without blobs.
  • Misc:
    • Linux: This shows you how to use sunst0rm on Linux using a KVM with USB passthrough.
    • Troubleshooting: This will help you fix common errors you may encounter using sunst0rm or installing its dependencies.
