Asia's Next Top Model Cycle 4

The Asia's Next Top Model (AsNTM) reality show returns with 14 more aspiring models in Season 4. Let more heels, gait and poses captivate you with competitors hailing from all over Asia. This season gets more interesting with models from Mongolia and Myanmar competing for the first time.
Who will be Asia's Next Top Model?
The premier was held lavishly at Indulge TGV One Utama with Model Mentor Kelly Tandiono and our very own Malaysian candidate, Tuti, gracing the event. No matter how shallow the society thinks modeling is, models at the event strut their stuff with self-confidence and self-worth, setting the perfect epitome for International Women's Day.
The region's most prestigious model search returns for its fourth season
Cheers! It's International Women's Day too
Brought to you by Star World and Indulge
Kelly Tandiono stood out with her incredible height and sharp features that evening. Towering at 175cm plus some ridiculously high heels, Kelly approached me with a smile and a sociable handshake. Of course, I did not let the chance of a photograph with her slip away. In Asia's Next Top Model, the Indonesian model plays the role of the mentor, overseeing the contestants' improvement, modelling skills, attitude and well being. She co-judges the contest with Cindy Bishop and Yu Tsai. She feels that character and attitude are important to scale the ladder in the modeling industry.

Malaysia is not be left out in the interestingly fierce competition. Nuraini Noor, or more known as Tuti, is our Malaysian contestant in the highly popular reality show. At a glance, I did not harbour much confidence in her as her face was not what I always thought models would look like. But after witnessing her taking up the show's challenges in the first episode, I realized there is much more to modelling than just a pretty face. For first time viewers, this show brings out the depth of the highly challenging industry.
Our very own Malaysian representative Nuraini Noor aka Tuti
While Tuti admitted that her looks is not of conventional model material, she proves that she no less than others with her mettle, talent and character. Tuti is competitive and did Malaysia proud in the first episode itself. Check out how our compatriot fairs every Wednesday with a flag wrapped around if you can. Malaysia Boleh!
A light moment with Tuti
The premier party continued to mesmerize the crowd with a fashion show, with of course Tuti as the celebrated model.

 MAYBELLINE
Make up comes as an utter necessity in the show. Assuming the crucial role of the official make up partner of AsNTM is Maybelline. The brand demonstrates itself to be the vehicle for models to achieve any look desirable. According to Maybelline's Marketing Manager, Pink Fong, the brand believes in empowering women to achieve self-confidence aside from facial artistry. Good news for fans, the make up on the models in the show can be recreated by getting the products from Maybelline counters and following video tutorials at Maybelline's website here. Barclays Premier League- That Night When Liverpool vs Manchester United

The pandemonium could not be contained. The showdown of 2 eternal rivals in the football realm was destined to be on that day. The Liverpool and Manchester United clash-out at the Barclay's Premier League brought about legions of red fans to Sunway Giza before the giant HD screen at the LIVE Match Viewing Party hosted by FOX International Channels (FIC)
All about football
Those who know me would be wondering which monsoon wind brought me to the event as I cannot even kick a ball straight. Well, an avid fan as a boyfriend would explain why. His favourite team was not playing but it is always uplifting to draw energy from the revelry and it was great opportunity to improve my football vocabulary.
It's the day of the 2 legendary rivals
Celebrating the match, there were some exciting activities for the all who were game enough before the live telecast began. The Fox Sports Football Simulator was very welcomed as it made everyone an instant football player while The Double Dribble Challenge was there to test adroitness of the legs.

There was also a corner to put your foresight to use. If your score is right, prizes awaits at the end of the game!
Guess what I predicted
The merchandise store was an interesting scene with eye-catching red souvenirs spreading over the whole patch. The ones that caught my eye was the RM1200 authentic player autographed jersey. The team pack also appeared cute and the plush toy would not go wrong if anyone got that for me.

I wouldn't mind a red plush toy
Sky was the limit when it comes to fans' love and emotions for their favourite clubs. It was my first time witnessing the clamour and vehemence of a football match. My boyfriend told me to look out for the taunts among the teams that amped up the already-heated situation. No wonder guys or rather football fans (girls included) take so much pleasure in communal viewing of a match may it be at mamak stalls, pubs or parties like this.
The attentive crowd during the match
Loyal Liverpool fans
Enthusiastic Manchester United fans
Fans go to lengths to invest in props and flags to display their undying support for their teams. I spotted a little boy sporting a devil's mask and a red pitch fork to announce his sports religion. Songs and jingles were sung passionately. I admired in awe the spirit that no mortal could break.
Fans displaying their love for their football club
Manchester United fans were particularly energetic. They paraded into the area before the match started
Yours truely not missing out on the excitement
Emcees hyping up the spirit even more
Fans showed off their football knowledge in the trivia session and went all out to win merchandises as well as prizes from FOX Sports and sponsors such as BAC, MyEG and Wonda Coffee. Loyalty was proven to be cemented when a fan refused to answer a question related to the other team! Pardon my surprise...I was new.
My view at the event
Uproar during a close goal
The match started at 10pm and everyone's eyes were glued to the giant HD screen. Every goal attempt and defense was cheered and jeered. Even I was at the edge of my seat. At the end of the game...
Man United-1 Liverpool-0
Congratulations Manchester United!
Great game Liverpool! Try again. You Will Never Walk Alone
Best dressed fan
Manchester United fans rejoiced!

Fans can tune in to FOX Sports (ASTRO Channel 812) and FOX Sports HD (ASTRO Channel 832) to catch all the action of BPL Live, week in and week out!

Directed by award winning directors and actors, Breakthrough turns big-yawn subjects into interesting documentary with engaging music and comprehensive narration. Most importantly, every episode channels a huge wisdom of knowledge to its viewers that will hopefully propagate for the betterment of humankind.

Premier of Energy on the Edge
I had the opportunity to watch the premier screening of Episode 5- Energy on the Edge at the nation's most prominent science center, Petrosains in KLCC. Sneak peak into Breakthrough Episode 5- Energy on the Edge
There is a rare breed of people constantly searching for alternatives to petroleum and coal which have their expiry dates. Renewable energy may not be the ultimate solution but it can at least decrease our dependency of fuel.

Geologists are also working towards extracting energy from volcanic materials. Countless calculations and engineering is invested at life-threatening zones to excavate something more valuable than gold.
